Export Onenote Notebook

If you need to give your notes to someone who doesn't have access to the notebook file, you can do so by exporting a page, section, or an entire notebook.

Export Pages or Sections

1. Click the File tab.
   
2. Click Export.

   You can export a page, section, or the entire notebook. A page and section work the same way. Notice the export file type for a page is the same as a section.

3. Select Page or Section.
4. Select an export format.
5. Click Export.
   
6. Select a save location and click Save.
   
7. Navigate to where the file is saved.
8. Open the file.
   

   The document opens, and as you scroll down you see all the notes from the Meetings section are included.

9. Close the file.
   

Export a Notebook

Now if you want to export the entire notebook, the format options are a little different.

1. Open the Notebook you want to export.
2. Click the File tab.
   
3. Click Export.
4. Select Notebook.

   Now there are only three format options. The first packages it so it can be re-opened in OneNote and the second two allow the notebook to be opened in a viewer without OneNote.

5. Select an export format.
6. Click Export.
   
7. Select a save location and click Save.
