Reconcile

When you reconcile a bank account, you compare QuickBooks with a bank statement, to make sure everything matches and is accurate

Reconcile Bank Account

1. Make sure your online banking is up to date for any bank accounts you want to reconcile.
2. Have the bank statement for the account you want to reconcile ready.
3. Select the ⚙ Gear icon.
4. Select Reconcile.
   
5. Select the account you want to reconcile.
6. Enter statement information:
   • Ending balance
   • Ending date
7. Click Start reconciling.
   
8. Check off all the transactions that match your bank statement. The difference should equal $0.00.
9. Correct any omissions or errors that you find.
10. Click the Finish now button when you’re done.
